Bulbula is a small rural town between Addis Ababa and Woylita Soddo. The Daughters of Charity have St. Joseph’s Kindergarten and Primary School on their compound. They hope to establish a income generation project i.e. working with disadvantaged people in the community to develop their own businesses and livelihoods.

Volunteers are needed with proposal writing and strategic planning skills to work with the Daughters of Charity on the further development of income generation and women’s programmes. Year round placements are available here, ideally for a minimum of 6 weeks. Volunteer teachers are also welcome to work in the primary school for one month from June to August, facilitating a summer programme for the students.
