2013 VLM Volunteers at pre-departure training in All Hallows College.

VLM’s Volunteer pre-departure training and induction weekend will be on April 26th and 27th next in All Hallows College. We will have up to 20 volunteers travelling with us to Ethiopia this summer, working on a variety of projects.  This training weekend offers general information and practical preparation tips for all volunteers travelling. Various guest speakers have been invited to address the group, including many previous VLM volunteers. We hope to keep the weekend interesting and enjoyable for all. Topics covered will include:

Saturday

  • Development and social justice

Senior House is to the north of the campus

Senior House is to the north of the campus

The weekend will run from 10am to 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday and will be held in Senior House 2. When entering the All Hallows campus take the right to the main car park at the north of the campus (see map on left). Senior House is the closest building, watch out for the VLM signage.

Lunch is provided on both days and Mass will be celebrated by Fr Michael McCullagh CM on Sunday morning in the oratory at All Hallows. Accommodation is also available on-site, visit www.allhallows.ie for more information.
