Ready for departure: 5th year students from St. Paul’s college, Raheny with their teachers.

On June 4th last, students from St. Paul’s College Raheny departed for Ethiopia along with three teachers, Rory Dodd, Tracey Flynn and Ailbhe Hickey. St. Paul’s College participates annually in VLM schools immersion programme where they volunteer in Ambo Lazarist Deaf Centre and with the surrounding community in a small town two hours west of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s Capital.

We would like to thank the staff and students of St. Paul’s who have supported this group in their preparation and fundraising for this once in a life time trip. We look forward to seeing the pictures and hearing about their experiences when they return at the end of the month.
